CROCS Swim Team 2021

CROCS is coordinated again this 2021 season by Catherine Goforth

CROCS 2021 Registration Message

We’re so excited to be swimming again at the EARC! This year will be a little bit different as we will split meets into age groups to decrease numbers due to COVID-19. We also are only having 2 teams per meet with the exception of Champs July 24. We will also offer practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 8-9 or 9-10. Each swimmer will get two practice slots per week with an option to add a third if numbers allow. There will be a limited number of swimmers per lane during practice. We will figure all this out after we know how many swimmers to expect this season!

10 and under meets are Saturday June 19 at EARC, Thursday July 1 at EARC, and Saturday July 17 at Biltmore Park.
11 and over meets are Tuesday June 8 at EARC, Tuesday June 22 at Biltmore Forest and Thursday July 8 at Brevard.
Our championship meet will be Saturday July 24th with all teams involved in the Blue Ridge Aquatic League, split into two different sessions-one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

With changing Covid restrictions, I am unsure at this moment whether we will allow spectators on deck at meets. At this time, coaches and volunteer timers, stroke judges, runners are the only adults we’ll allow at meets on the pool deck. I have another meeting with our league to discuss what our rules and regulations will be. Just want you all to know what you are signing up for when you sign up!

After registration, there will be lots of little details to work out. Please be patient with me and I will do my best to figure things out to get our CROCS swimming this summer! Looking forward to a fun and safe summer!

Practice will officially begin June 1. We will offer some “stroke clinics” that can be used for new swimmers, or returning swimmers who are ready to get in the water for some conditioning! It will be open to all, utilizing a sign up system for spots! These clinics will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings May 18, 20, 25 and 27 from 6-7 or 7-8 pm. I will get details to you regarding signing up.

Excited for you to be a part of the EARC CROCS!
