CROCS Swim Team 2022

 Updated for the 2022 Season

CROCS 2022 Registration Message:

Hey Crocs!
We’re getting excited about Summer 2022!
The Blue Ridge Aquatic League has been working to plan an awesome summer schedule!

Meet Schedule:
Saturday, June 18 Home (EARC hosts Biltmore Park & Biltmore Forest) LUAU theme
Saturday, June 25 @North Asheville Country Club (NAVL & BF hosts EARC) Western theme
Saturday, July 9 Home (EARC hosts NAVL and ARC) America theme
Saturday, July 16 @ Biltmore Park (BP hosts EARC and NAVL)
Saturday, July 23 CHAMPS @ Buncombe County Aquatic Center

PARENTS! Let me know if you can make it to a Stroke & Turns Judge Clinic-May 21st 1-2 pm at Biltmore Park Clubhouse. Colleen Gillan is going to train us in being Strokes and Turns judges at meets. I’d love 8-10 CROCS parents to be there. Kerry Dontchos has been our head Strokes & Turns Judge for several years (thank you Kerry!!) and is ready to pass the torch (or clipboard! ha!) If we have 8-10 parents trained, we can split up the duties at meets so it doesn’t seem like such a big job! Thank you!!!

We’ll schedule practices like we did last summer. Practices will be offered m/w/f or t/th/f and you will pick your preferred days on the registration form. 6&unders, 7-8, 9-10 will be from 8 am to 9 am. 13+, 11-12 and 9-10 will be from 9 am to 10 am. (9-10-year-olds are typically our largest group and we will let them practice either time slot, usually whatever works best for siblings and schedules!) Hopefully, this all makes sense!

Team suits: Not required, but it sure is fun to see all the Crocs in black and green. Here is a link to the team store:
East Asheville CROCS
At our parent meeting before the season really gets going bring any used suits you’d like to pass on to another swimmer.

All swimmers will be given a CROCS swim cap and t-shirt covered by registration fees.

Practices will begin after the pool opens on Memorial Day weekend! I’ll keep you posted about evening practices and if we will do any bonus stroke clinics prior to the end of the school year. Morning practice from 8 am to 10 am will begin June 8 after Buncombe County Schools are out for the summer.

CROCS swimmers must be members of the EARC and able to swim 25 yards on their front and back. 6 & unders don’t have to have perfect strokes, just be able to swim across the pool and we’ll work on strokes during the season. Younger swimmers may come to a few early practices so the coaches can evaluate readiness for the swim team. Just contact me so I’ll know to keep you in the loop.

Follow us/like us on Facebook-EARC Crocs. Info is always emailed, but you may be able to connect to each other on this platform as well!

If you have friends interested in CROCS who are EARC members, please spread the word.
